Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, is a day of fun for young and old! It is a day to think about those we love and celebrate the friendship and kindness. He was one of my favorite winter vacation when the kids were younger I liked all the fuss of the parties at school, Scouts and Sunday School. It was a break with the stagnation of winter! I loved going to the store to let each choose their own Valentine's Day. At that time "printables team were not in the vocabulary, if I can not believe! We bought the box of old fashion cards that smashed into punch lines. They loved to choose their own subjects, either in the Ninja Turtles, Super Heroes, Care Bears and Cabbage Patch Kids. Yes, I am definitely dating myself as I think of those years! Then we take the boxes and each wrap and decorate their own individual mailboxes! On Valentine started coming from relatives in the box go until Valentine's Day!
In our house, always add a component to a day. We bake and deliver homemade cookies to the elderly neighbors. We collect coins in a large decorated Valentine's Day had decorated pitcher after just after Christmas and enjoy watching grow. Valentine's Day we have coins and decide where donate the money.
