BAKED PORK CHOPS
6 pork chops ½ teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic, ground pepper, as desired
1 teaspoon caraway seeds, chopped 1 cup white wine, Dry
2 teaspoon Hungarian paprika, 1 cup light cream sour
Use only mild Hungarian paprika. It is available in department stores and specialty shops. Place pork chops in a baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients except sour cream and pour over chops.
Marinate the chops for 2-3 hours in refrigerator. Bake the chops, uncovered, in the marinade in a preheated 325 F. oven for 1 hour or until tender. Add more wine if necessary. Add the sour cream into pan juices and hot, but NOT boiling. Serve chops with sour cream sauce and pasta with butter or meatballs. Yield: 6 servings
SWEDISH MEATBALLS
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion minced
1 celery stalk, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground allspice
3 / 4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 eggs
1 / 2 cup milk
1 cup dry bread crumbs
2 pounds of meat loaf mix (1 pound lean ground beef, 1 / 2 pounds of ground pork, 1 / 2 pound ground veal or lamb)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Quarter cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
black pepper
1 3 / 4 cups light cream
1 cup water

Cover with cold water and bring to a boil.
Let simmer until almost tender. Add water if necessary
to keep meat covered. One hour before serving, add chopped
vegetables and seasonings. Potatoes can be cooked separately
before serving. When ready to serve, remove from heat and
add sour cream

Grandma's Beef Stew and Dumplings "

1 clove garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1 medium onion, chopped
3 carrots
1 turnip, diced
1 bay leaf
Cut meat into cubes. Roll in flour and brown in hot oil.

Sift flour. Add baking powder and salt and sift again.
Cut in shortening and add milk. Drop in stew over low heat
gently, taking care to leave a piece of meat or vegetable and

Swiss Apple Pie
2 cups grated apple or
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
½ tsp. nutmeg
¾ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup rich milk, scalded
Mix sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Beat the eggs lightly and add to sugar mixture. Mix well and add milk or cream scalded cereals. If apples are cut, place them in the mold up and pour liquid over them. If you are grated, add the liquid and pour all together into unbaked shell. Bake in a hot oven (400F) for 15 minutes lowering the temperature to 350F and continue baking 35 minutes or until filling is set.

One of my granddaughters vegan practices. (See the edition Last, explains exactly what it is vegetarian). She made a move last night and had a taste of it. The surprise, tasted great. Below is Banana Shake recipe. Easy to make.

Banana Smoothie (VEGAN)
1 ½ cups soy milk.
6-7 large dates, pitted.
2 bananas frozen
Put into a blender, mix all ingredients until thick and creamy. If you want to use thinner shake ½ cup soy milk more. Yield 2 servings.

Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
2 cups unbleached white flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
cinnamon to taste (optional)
1 cup vegan chocolate chips
1 cup organic sugar
1 / 2 cup canola oil vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 / 4 cup water

Getting There:

Preheat oven to 350.

In a large bowl Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Mix in chocolate chips. Make a well in the center bowl and set aside.

In a medium bowl size mix vegan sugar and oil. Add vanilla and add water. Be sure to mix well. Add the wet to the dry well. Spoon batter onto baking sheets ungreased. Bake for 8-12 minutes.

Take them out and move to wire racks to cool.

Nearly two dozen cookies.

The morning light of His favor and Psalm 30

Psalm 30 says of the New King James Version of the Bible:

1 I will praise You, O Lord, for thou hast lifted,

Should I move the image?

Posted this in another category, so I can get the largest possible number of good answers. My husband has a framed photo of his grandmother right before he died. She was very sweet, but the picture is about 80 years and seems a little confused and I must admit that's kind of creepy appearance. He loves his grandmother so I'm not bad to have the image of my children, but to walk blindfolded in front of her .. Do you think it should become the room? My children are young. I do not expect you to understand the situation.

You must honestly try to be a little more sensitive to her husband. I do not mean offend you, but it's his grandmother and she died. It's kind of thoughtless you feel bad for her children. You should give lessons about respect, have manners, and be sensitive to the feelings of the people who supposedly love.

Proper etiquette when writing a thank you note

You do not need a 10-week intensive course from Ms. Manners to use proper etiquette when write a thank you note. As the old saying goes, a little common sense helps a lot. Here are every day, five tips to remember to show appreciation.

1. Show a little effort.

Always handwrite your letter of gratitude, not print from your computer. Even if you are writing is "horrendous," slow down and make an effort to write legibly for the occasion. Do not use a pre-printed or pre-written greeting card, unless you are what adds to the message in your own handwriting. The extra time will be appreciated by the person who is giving thanks. Plot
In 1988, Donnie Darko (Jake Gyllenhaal), a bright teenager, has been seeing a psychiatrist, because it seems to be going through a particular painful puberty. His mother worried about it, then his sister at dinner suggests that it has not been taking their medications. Later that night (02 October) Donnie is awakened by a voice and down the stairs as if sleepwalking where she meets Frank (James Duval), a man with a menacing bunny suit. Frank says that in 28 days, 6 hours 42 minutes and 12 seconds, the world will end. While outside, a jet engine accident through Donnie's room.
Jim Cunningham (Patrick Swayze) Donnie wakes up where he had fallen asleep on the golf course. Donnie notices of his forearm, where numbers are written in script 28:06:42:12 irregular. Grandmother Convinced that death is somehow connected Frank, Gretchen and Donnie persuades two friends to leave the party and go with him to his house. There are assaulted by high school bullies (Alex Greenwald and Seth Rogen). Gretchen is beaten unconscious and thrown into the street. An approaching car scares the bullies off but was diverted to avoid death's grandmother is standing in the road and runs directly on Gretchen. Stop the car, Frank gets out and starts yelling at Donnie, raising the gun stolen from his father and Frank shoots through his right eye (A wound seen earlier as the "rabbit threatening" Frank took off his mask).
Death grandmother tells the court Donnie (Director) who had to hurry like a storm is forming and he has much to do. Donnie can not wake up Gretchen and ends carrying her lifeless body home. You have to kiss your forehead sleeping sister, grab some keys and speeds away in the family car with Gretchen. We see a strange upside down, black clouds forming on Donnie's house. Next Donnie clocks of some roads in the hills above the city like a tornado forming over the city. Donnie seems at peace now, as a vortex surrounding the stream of her mother and sister are returning home, apparently trapped in the storm over his house Donnie. Suddenly, the plane shook violently and we see the engine on the wings and begin to fall, creating a twisting path through the sky.
Director's cut ending
Suddenly, the older sister of Donnie's family opens his door is closed and leans against the door, as he did at the beginning of the film. His father is asleep in his chair. Donnie, located upstairs in her bed, she starts to laugh maniacally, then the noise grows as the house begins to shake violently. Donnie is now seen asleep in his bed. As the house begins to crumble, we see his mother in her bed as the engine massive jet that had just minutes before the plane crashed carrying his mother and sister, crashes through Donnie's room.
theatrical version ending
In the theater version is once again October 2nd. Donnie is once again in bed, possibly after having traveled back in time for creating an ontological paradox, where his future self takes the place of his past self. At this time Donnie has returned to his bed, where at the beginning of the film that he had followed by a strange voice, as it went out and met with Frank. Writer / director Richard Kelly does not deny the validity of personal interpretations, but has expressed his own theories in the additional comments in both films, and several other interviews.
According to Kelly and his Philosophy of Time Travel fiction, at midnight on October 2 to 1 Tangent Universe branches outside the primary in the Universe when Donnie is called Frank your room, immediately before the appearance of the engine, faulty jet engine. The inherently unstable Tangent Universe will collapse in less than 28 days to take the Primary Universe with if not corrected. Closing the Tangent Universe is the duty of Receiver Vivo, Donnie, who exercises certain supernatural powers that will help in the task.
Those who die in the Tangent Universe (and would not have died otherwise) are the Manipulated Dead (Frank, Gretchen). Frank, at least, is also given certain powers in that he is able to subtly understand what is happening and has the ability to contact and influence the recipient of life through the Fourth Dimension Building (water). All others within the orbit of the Living Receiver are the Manipulated Living (eg Ms. Pomeroy, Dr. Monnitoff), subconsciously drawn to push him towards his destiny to close the Tangent Universe and, according to the philosophy of time travel, dies the appliance.
Frank appears in history two costumes (costumes three if we assume that he "never" die of the restoration of the Primary Universe through the denial of the Tangent Universe). Filming
The Long Beach, California home used as the fictional Donnie Darko, House Luxury motivational speaker Jim Cunningham.
Donnie Darko was filmed in 28 days with a budget of $ 4.5 million. Most went straight to home video release, but was released by the production company Flower Films.
The film was shot in California. The crest of the Carpathians "was filmed in the Angeles Crest Highway. In 2003, the composer Michael Andrews and singer Gary Jules found coverage piano-based success of Tears Fears' "Mad World", featured in the film as part of the final sequence, and the song was the United Kingdom Christmas number one single in 2003. A continuous sequence involving an introduction to high school Donnie prominently features the song "Head Over Heels" Tears for Fears, Samantha's dance team, "Sparkle Motion" show with the song "Notorious" by Duran Duran, and "Under the Milky Way "Church is played after Donnie and Gretchen out of his room during the party." Love Will Tear Us Apart "by Joy Division also appears in the diegetically movie during the party and shots of Donnie and Gretchen upstairs. The limited version of the film took place during the month after the September 11 attacks. The film was originally released on DVD and VHS in March 2002. Strong DVD sales led Newmarket Films to release a "Director Cut "on DVD in 2004. Bob Berney, president of Newmarket Films, the film is described as" a huge success on DVD, "citing U.S. sales more than $ 10 million.

Box office
Donnie Darko had its first screening at the Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2001, and debuted in U.S. theaters in October 2001 to a lukewarm response. The film also won the "Silver Scream Award" at the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival. Kelly was nominated for "Best debut and Best First Screenplay "with Donnie Darko and Jake Gyllenhaal is nominated for Best Male Lead" at the Spirit Awards Independent. The film was also nominated for Best Film Revelation "in the Online Film Critics Society Awards.
2003 Jake Gyllenhaal won "Best Actor" and Richard Kelly "Best Original Screenplay" for Donnie Darko in Chlotrudis Awards, where Kelly was also nominated for "Best Director and Best Movie. "

A sequel, 2009, S. Darko, focuses on Samantha Darko, Donnie's younger sister. Again played by Daveigh Chase, Samantha begins to have strange dreams that hint at a major catastrophe. Donnie Darko creator Richard Kelly has stated that it is not involved in this sequel, as it does not own rights to the original. Daveigh and producer Adam are the only fields creative links between him and the original film. The sequel received negative comments.
Adaptations
Marcus Stern Associate Director, American Repertory Theatre, directed by stage adaptation of Donnie Darko at the Zero Arrow Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the fall of 2007. It ran from October 27 to November 18, 2007, with opening night scheduled appropriately on Halloween. An article written by the production playwright and director said the production team planned to "embrace the challenge of making the fantastic elements come alive on stage."
